Met the Consultant for the Bra Line
Yesterday, I met with a woman from the fashion industry who knows how to take a product from idea, to design, to market...and I LOVED her. (I'm not going to share who she is yet, but when we finalize the deal, then I'll tell you even more about her.)
She's authentic. She's spiritual - but not "out there woo woo", and she's got great vision - as well as the knowledge and resources to do the practical, step by step piece (which I need)...not to mention that she completely gets the vision I have for the bra line and this company. (I'll share that vision later.) Plus, I'll be sending out surveys to you to get design ideas.
What's really amazing about all of this is that it was when I decided to let things come to me that she showed up - a friend introduced us.
Why am I sharing this with you? (And what's in this for YOU)
I'm sharing this with you for many reasons...Largely because I believe in the entrepreneurial lifestyle...at my core is a Freedom Philosophy, and for me, the best way to do that is to start businesses. If that's a desire you have, too, then by all means...come with me on
this journey, learn and then bring your business to the world --- then
turn around and help someone else do the same.
Plus, I believe in Multiple (and passive) Sources of Income (and multiple sources of abundance). Passive income becomes important when you can't work due to disease. Again, if you've ever had the desire to create passive income, please let me know, and follow along with me.
Will the bra line be totally passive? No. But eventually, the company will have people in appropriate positions to run them. (I have other projects that will be passive.)
And...I want you to know that this is fun and exciting - and hugely overwhelming...and I have NO IDEA what I'm doing. Yep, that's right...no idea. I've never owned a full-on corporation before. But I have the vision. I can see it clear as day.
Finally, I want you to see this start-up process from start to finish.
I'll say it again...I'm hoping that many of you will be inspired to start your own businesses.

Next Step with the Consultant
The consultant is getting me an estimate of her monthly retainer as well as the costing estimates to bring the product to market. I will do a 2-pager about me, the idea, and the company.(I'm also getting estimates for admin and tech work from Erin Blaskie's company BSETC.
Then I have to...
$$ FIND THE MONEY $$
Oh, yeah...did I mention - - - I do not have the money to do this. But I KNOW it's there somewhere,and I KNOW it will show up.
Doing Things Differently
Actually, that's one way that I'm doing this differently this time...I've made stabs at businesses before - and not successfully. In attempting to create businesses, I'd end up creating another J-O-B for myself time after time.
I've spun my wheels and created lots of debt by micromanaging and trying to figure out HOW to do everything.
So, this time, I'm going to just ALLOW it to come to me. There's a fine line of difference between allowing and being passive...passivity can imply a lack of caring, energy or action. After all, we're taught to take action, take charge, set goals, and do, do, do.
The feminine energy is so powerful that you can see amazing results just by setting an intention and backing it with faith. You can create amazing things just by following what's right in front of you - as opposed to trying to "figure things out". (Men have this feminine energy as well, but with their masculine being dominant, it may not show itself in quite the same way.)
After all, this consultant just showed up.
And I KNOW that the investors will as well.
